Motorola Golden View VK106M 10" TV. This was manufactured in 1948 in Motorola's second year of television production. The hallmark of this set is it's rather unusual art deco cabinet design. During the 40's, through the 60's, a television set was considered, not only a device to watch television, it was also considered a piece of furniture. As a result, cabinet design became a selling feature that was often more imprortant than the engineering that went into the electronics.
